Electrical Engineer of Record for a large‑scale construction project located in St. Catharine’s, Ontario.

Role Overview

This position holds accountability and legal responsibility for the integrity of electrical systems of a project. The engineer attends construction work sites as a regular part of the role and attests, with an official seal, that the designs, calculations, and documents are compliant with all applicable codes, standards, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Seal and certify engineering documents, including drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Perform or oversee work performed by others as it relates to electrical design and analysis, including calculations for electrical distribution and equipment specifications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, such as structural and mechanical engineers, to ensure all systems work together and avoid conflicts.
• Act as a point of contact during the construction phase to address unforeseen issues or provide clarification on design intent.
• Ensure the electrical design complies with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
