Together, we are the leading alternative lending bank in Canada. We have the collective experience and expertise to better serve our customers and foster our partners’ growth. With a diverse suite of products—residential and commercial mortgages, consumer deposits and GICs, credit cards, retail and automobile financing, personal loans and digital lending—we offer financial solutions tailored to all Canadians, including newcomers, small-business owners, smart investors and savvy consumers.

Backed by nearly a century of lending experience through its legacy companies, Fairstone Bank and its brand family are proud to be Canada’s leading alternative lending bank.

· Lead the development, implementation, and enhancements of internal controls, and ensure adherence to corporate policies and directives for Financial Statements.

· Develop the processes for automation of the Financial Statements using adaptive insights.

· Manage and/or participate in ad hoc projects (enhancements, process improvement initiatives etc.), as required.

What we’re looking for:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

· A professional accounting designation preferred.

· Progressive relevant work experience (5 to 10 years) involving product accounting, working with external and internal auditors.

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience at a large financial institution and experience working for a multinational corporation.

· Financial analysis skills and experience.

· Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

· Strong knowledge of technical accounting (IFRS) and internal control principles.

· Proficient in MS Office, specifically advanced skills in Excel.

· Demonstrated leadership skills, with ability to influence and gain support for objectives.

· Self-motivated individual capable of adapting to change, managing multiple tasks and continuously evaluating priorities to lead tasks/projects to completion.
