Job description

Join a global team dedicated to improving the societies we live in through sustainable, electric mobility.

At Polestar we don't just drive innovation in our cars – our entire business model is different from our competitors. We’re looking for a motivated, analytical, and hands-on business development professional to support and advance Polestar’s commercial growth in Canada.

Let us describe the challenge we offer
The Market Development Manager will support the development and execution of Polestar’s commercial and business development initiatives in Canada. You will work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to help translate commercial strategy into actionable plans, market insights, and measurable outcomes. This role operates at the intersection of business development, pricing and offers, product, business support, remarketing/pre-owned, forecasting, and market intelligence. You will both support leadership priorities and lead defined projects and initiatives, contributing to Polestar Canada’s commercial performance and long-term growth. This role plays an important part in supporting revenue growth, demand generation, and cross-functional commercial initiatives across the Canadian market.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to the development and execution of Canadian commercial strategies, including pricing, offers, and go-to-market initiatives

• Support the identification and evaluation of new market opportunities and strategic initiatives across retail, B2B, and pre-owned channels in Canada.

• Act as a project lead for key business development and commercial projects, from initial analysis through to execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Build and maintain a deep understanding of industry and market dynamics, competitive landscape, and consumer trends to support strategic decision-making.

• Support in development of ongoing pricing frameworks, lease structures, incentives, customer-facing offers and other projects as needed with data-driven analysis and recommendations.

• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to define forecasting, sales planning and order management

• Support senior leadership in shaping and delivering on new commercial initiatives and programs.

• Track, analyze and translate market performance KPI’s into actionable recommendations to leadership.

• Contribute to communications with Polestar’s retailer network on programs and initiatives as needed.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, engineering, or a related field.

• 4–7 years of experience in a similar role managing business development, commercial strategy, sales operations, or automotive market intelligence.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects with competing priorities and stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex narratives up to executive level team members.

• Solid understanding of automotive industry and commercial models.

• Proven ability working with complex data to create in depth market analysis, pricing and commercial modelling.

• Comfortable working cross-functionally.

• Experience in a global organization is an asset.

• Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal is highly desirable
