Financial Accountant-Industrial DistributionOur client, a leader within the North American Industrial Distribution sector, is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team in Edmonton.The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring all financial data, preparing accurate statements, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations. Responsibilities : Gather and monitor financial data Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Forecast costs and revenuesManage tax paymentsLiaise with External auditsAssist with the preparation of budgets Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies Analyze financial trendsConduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential financial decisionsPerform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustmentsPrepare variance analysis to compare actual results to budgeted figuresPrepare balance sheet reconciliationsPrepare Regulatory Reporting for Government agenciesEnsure process documentation is maintainedSupport branch managers with financial mattersQualifications : 5+ years’ experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role Bachelor’s degree in accounting and financeMulti-Branch / Location is an assetIn-depth understanding of business accounting procedures and accounting regulationsAttention to detailStrong time-management abilitiesCPA or actively pursuing CPA Designation Remuneration : Remuneration for this role is a base salary ranging from 70-75K depending on experience plus annual bonus, a great benefit program and RSP matching with an incredible company.
