Compensation: pre-probation $16.63/hour and post-probation $17.63/hour
Shift: Varies, must be available on evenings and weekends

Position Summary: As a Multi Service Worker you are acting as a member of the program team by delivering exemplary hospitality services that enhance life quality and peace of mind for seniors living within the community. Operating under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager or their designate, your focus lies on delivering resident-centered housekeeping, laundry, and food services.

Job Responsibilities

• Provides essential communication and companionship when delivering services within resident suites and common areas reporting observations of social isolation or changes in resident functional status to the General Manager or designate.
• Participates in resident service planning as requested.
• Delivers exemplary housekeeping and laundry services within resident suites, amenity spaces, common and administrative areas while respecting resident privacy and preferences.
• Responds to non-scheduled requests for housekeeping and laundry assistance.
• Assist in meal preparation, presentation, and service, ensuring adherence to food safety practices.
• Prepares and services beverages and snacks. Conducts post-meal clean up.
• Assists in the preparation of family and catered special events.
• Follows Resident Services Plan and Shared Responsibility Agreement when delivering hospitality services, reporting incidents to the General Manager.
• Manage bedding and towel distribution, perform laundry services in accordance with pre-determined top up levels
• Adheres to WHMIS protocols and infection control guidelines when performing hospitality services and maintains MSDS. Acts as back up in emergency situations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements/Certification Requirements

• Food Service Worker Certificate or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a hospital, continuing care or hotel setting.
• Food Safe – Level I & WHMIS Certifications required.
• First Aid Certificate is considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities/Experience Requirements:

• Comfortable working alone or in a team environment, in the absence of prescribed routines.
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of the intent and philosophy of assisted living when planning and delivering hospitality services.
• Ability to self-directed plan, organize and deliver care and services with minimal supervision.
