The position of communications and development officer will enable young people to develop their management, organization and planning skills, and thus make the link between concepts learned at school and working life. Position subsidized by Young Canada Works, offered to young people aged 16 to 30.
Responsibilities
Feeding social media
Assist the regional committee with promotional activities
Create promotional material (posters, etc.)
Search and create presentations
Help with logistics for CME events and activities
Support regional delegates in their role
Attend meetings, take detailed notes and draft minutes
Help prepare reports
Participate in community networking activities
Finding and creating potential partnerships
Manage all media relations, communication and promotional material (Facebook, Instagram, twitter, newsletter, MailChimp, website on wordpress platform)
Maintain brand integrity on all social media platforms
Track engagement across different platforms and make data-driven decisions
Ensure quality control of all information distributed
Develop a coherent communications strategy for the entire program
Other administrative tasks as required by ÉMC
Qualifications
High school diploma or university degree; additional qualification as administrative assistant or secretary : an asset
French required, bilingual (French & English) an asset
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (especially in French)
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint) and Google applications
Good knowledge of Canva
Good knowledge of social media
Good knowledge of project management tools
Strong organizational skills (time management and ability to prioritize work)
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
