Job description
Part-Time Housekeeper Wanted – 1 Day / Week
We’re a busy, friendly family looking for a reliable and detail-oriented housekeeper to help keep our home running smoothly. This is more than just basic cleaning - we're looking for someone who sees what needs to be done and jumps in to help simplify our lives. This is a consistent, once-a-week position (same day each week, or same two half-days each week), perfect for someone looking for steady part-time work.
Responsibilities include :
- General cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.)
- Laundry (washing, folding, light ironing if needed)
- Changing bed linens and towels
- Light meal prep (washing / chopping vegetables, preparing simple meals or ingredients)
- Occasional errands (grocery pickup, dry cleaning, post office - we're a ~5 minute walk from the shops)
- Tidying and organizing common areas and bedrooms
- Watering indoor plants
- Other tasks for household support on rotation (i.e. wiping down windows / baseboards / walls; cleaning out refrigerator; seasonal cleaning or closet turnover; toy cabinet orgnaization)
Ideal Candidate :
- Trustworthy, punctual, and efficient,
- Has experience in housekeeping or similar roles
- Comfortable around pets (our home has a friendly Sheepadoodle)
- Speaks English well and can follow instructions
- Open to feedback and communicates well
- Committed for the long-term.
We are happy to provide cleaning supplies and a warm, respectful working environment. Pay is competitive and based on experience.
