For its Police Service, the City of Laval is looking for a: Advisor - Police Practices

STATUS: Temporary Duration of one (1) year

JOB POSTING NUMBER: 2721

POSTING PERIOD: Continuous job posting

SALARY: $76,351.73 to $100,432.27 (2024 salary)

SCHEDULE: 33.75 hours/week, Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

The challenges that await you

Under the authority of the immediate supervisor, you will collaborate in the development and updating of organizational documents such as directives, procedures, forms, and communications from your area of activity.

In this capacity, you are primarily responsible for analyzing and disseminating the information necessary for managing the activities of the Citizen Protection Service and act as a resource person.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in criminology;
  • Have two (2) years of relevant experience for the position;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, rigor, open-mindedness, and recognized teamwork abilities;
  • Excellent written French skills;
  • Excellent ability to analyze, structure, and organize information;
  • Very good mastery of MS Office software, mainly Word, Excel, and Acrobat.
