Why Join our Team? At Vallen, we embrace what makes us unique. We thrive on the diversity of our associates and the different ways each of us contributes to Vallen's success. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive company that values the growth of our associates. When you join Vallen, you become part of our winning team. Our vast network of connections is here to help you transform your job into a career. Vallen is an industry leader in delivering flexible supply chain solutions while creating value for our customers, our supply partners, and our associates.

An exciting opportunity has become available as a Safety Services Manager. Vallen is currently looking for experienced individuals with a background in fire and life safety services. The position involves servicing portable fire extinguishers, including wheeled, wet and dry chemical, CO2, and clean agent extinguishers. Preference will be given to those with a valid portable fire extinguisher certification, but consideration will be given to individuals willing to undergo training.

As a service technician, your responsibilities will include :

  • Following all safety practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the company's quality processes to meet customer expectations.
  • Performing repairs on all customer equipment requiring service.
  • Learning proper procedures for contacting customers regarding repairs that need estimates.
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory, keeping adequate replacement parts, and advising supervisors of upcoming needs.
  • Maintaining records of repairs, in-progress work, and completed work.
  • Picking up and delivering repairs when necessary.
  • Preparing work orders, including repair times, and submitting them into the system.
  • Interacting with customers to promote positive relations.
  • Assisting in maintaining a safe working environment for all associates.
  • Ensuring all rental, demo, and service center equipment is in good condition.
  • Adhering to ethical standards, paying attention to detail, and following procedures.
  • Suggesting improvements for processes, procedures, or safety.
  • Providing reports and information to management as needed.
  • Obtaining necessary manufacturing certificates.
  • Performing other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Following health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
  • Participating in safety management systems, including training, audits, and inspections.
  • Reporting hazards and injuries promptly and participating in return-to-work programs.
  • Being physically capable of performing all tasks required.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma (preferred), basic understanding of hand tools, ongoing training, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, and maintain visual attention.

Working at Vallen offers a supportive, family-oriented culture with an open-door policy, where your suggestions are valued, and your efforts are recognized.
