  • Act as the primary point of contact for health & safety matters on site, including regulatory agencies and client safety representatives
  • Lead incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans
  • Deliver and oversee safety orientations, toolbox talks, and advanced training related to ICI-specific hazards (e.g., confined spaces, energized systems, critical lifts, hot work, high-risk equipment)
  • Mentor and guide junior safety staff, site supervisors, and subcontractors on safety best practices
  • Review and approve safe work procedures, lift plans, permits, and risk assessments
  • Coordinate emergency response planning, drills, and site preparedness
  • Maintain and audit all safety documentation, records, and reporting systems
  • Support WSIB claims management, return-to-work programs, and modified duty planning

  • 5 - 8+ years of progressive health & safety experience on ICI construction projects
  • Experience working on institutional or operational facilities (e.g., hospitals, schools, government, transit)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience on large, multi-trade construction sites
  • Advanced working knowledge of Ontario OHSA, Construction Projects Regulation, and ICI industry best practices
  • Valid Working at Heights certification
  • Strong incident investigation and hazard analysis experience
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proficiency in safety reporting systems, audits, and compliance documentation
  • CRSP, CHSO, NCSO, or equivalent professional certification, an asset

Benefits
