Job descriptionEducation & Experience : Minimum of 2 years in occupational health and safety. Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or equivalent). Professional designation such as CRSP or CHSC (completed or in progress). Familiarity with safety management systems. Manufacturing experience is an asset. Preferred Skills : Certification or experience in adult learning / corporate training. Competence in basic industrial hygiene practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook). Exceptional customer service and communication skills (verbal and written). Strong report-writing and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills. Professional, punctual, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player. Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Our Made Safe team serves as Manitoba’s dedicated Safety Association for manufacturers, providing expert guidance and support to ensure safer workplaces. Join us in empowering organizations to enhance their health and safety practices and reduce workplace injuries.
About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Safety Advisor to bring their expertise to manufacturers across Manitoba. As part of the Made Safe team, you’ll deliver top-notch advice, training, and support, helping organizations achieve and maintain the highest safety standards. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert health and safety guidance to Manitoba manufacturers.
- Conduct respirator fit testing.
- Support hazardous noise assessment programs, including transporting and handling personal noise dosimeters and conducting assessments.
- Host meetings with members’ safety personnel to address safety challenges and offer tailored recommendations.
- Stay updated on safety standards and legislation, sharing key insights with the Made Safe
- Offer guidance for companies pursuing or maintaining SAFE Work Certification, including auditing and consultation.
- Deliver safety and health training : In-person sessions at Made Safe (Winnipeg) and other Manitoba locations. Online webinars and hybrid formats.
- Create, review, and refine training content to maintain relevance and impact.
- Develop innovative health and safety resources to assist manufacturers in optimizing their safety programs.
- Support the Consulting Services Manager, Program Director, or Executive Director with additional tasks as needed.
