This includes managing permits, entitlements, leases, and relationships as needed to maximize mining reserves for the regional aggregates and construction materials business. The role will work closely with the local operations team, legal staff, environmental staff, and mine planners.

  • Oversee land management activities, including acquisitions, divestments, lease agreements, and zoning.
  • Represent company at land use hearings to secure necessary permits and permit amendments.
  • Manage the preparation, maintenance, and compliance of mining and reclamation permits.
  • Negotiate land purchase agreements and mining leases that maximize company value.
  • Develop and manage budgets and timelines for capital projects associated with land acquisition and permitting.
  • Develop and lead community relations efforts by working with internal staff and key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic land-related advice to management to minimize risks and maximize value.
  • Utilize GIS systems to document accurate boundaries for land, permits, and mine concession areas.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
  • Field of Study: Environmental Engineering or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years experience; past experience in real estate, land, and mining preferred.
  • Certifications: Training in leadership and team building; Professional Engineering License is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Land Information Systems, GIS, and Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingualism French and English required

Additional Requirements:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interpretation of rules, laws, and agreements.
  • Ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams and work within regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to travel 10% and attend public meetings, sometimes at night.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

  • Easy access to mental health and well-being support.
  • Service recognition awards to celebrate your contributions.
  • Perks & discounts on a variety of products and services.
  • Access to online learning platforms, financial educational assistance, and a culture that fosters career growth and opportunities.
  • Financial support for new parents beyond statutory benefits.
  • An inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone can be themselves.
  • A collaborative work culture in a supportive and team-oriented work environment
  • Company-provided personal protective equipment ensuring your safety and comfort on the job.
