We are seeking a Job Cost Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be expected to prepare and maintain project budgets, provide financial analysis, and ensure accurate and timely billing. You will also be tasked with monitoring job costs and identifying potential risks.
Responsibilities include :
- Maintaining and analyzing project budgets, including preparing estimates of costs to complete
- Utilizing JD Edwards software for job setup, cost code addition, change order logging and review, booked sales recording, and job forecast review and update
- Monitoring labor costs and preparing salary recovery worksheets and other cost transfer forms
- Conducting detailed variance analysis, identifying trends, and flagging potential risks and concerns
- Providing job cost information for month end, quarter end, and year end close
- Running profit recognition reports and participating in month-end WIP reviews
- Ensuring project setup / structure supports billing requirements and setting up billing lines as needed
- Generating accurate and timely draft billing for customer approval, posting approved invoices, and collecting overdue invoices
- Reconciling monthly billed / unbilled vs. revenue activity, investigating and resolving unexplained reconciling items
- Sending invoices to clients, monitoring job for holdback release timelines, and procuring required documents for release
- Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and reports for management as requested
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role or related field.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Account Reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including experience with Macros.
- Familiarity with Construction Cost analysis and management.
- Experience in Project Accounting.
- Proficiency in using JDE EnterpriseOne software.
- Ability to make accurate Financial Projections.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or relevant field is preferred.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, decision-making skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
