Job description

INTERN ARCHITECT

Location : Victoria, British Columbia

Compensation : $55 - 70K + Bonus

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern Architect to join our growing studio and contribute to a range of exciting projects.

ABOUT THE ROLE :

This role involves supporting the design and development of architectural projects from early concept through to construction. Working closely with principal architects and project teams, you will help produce detailed drawings, coordinate with consultants, and assist in navigating permitting and approvals processes. The ideal candidate has a passion for thoughtful design, a solid technical foundation, and strong communication skills.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience with an architectural firm in British Columbia
  • Registered with the AIBC as an Intern Architect or eligible for registration
  • Completion of an accredited architecture program
  • Proficiency in developing design and construction documents independently
  • Experience with a variety of building types such as commercial, multi-residential, or civic / community buildings is an asset
  • Familiarity with the BC Building Code (Part 3) and understanding of local building practices
  • Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with Vectorworks is an asset
  • Awareness of sustainable design practices and considerations
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal / written communication skills in English
