Purpose of the position
We are currently looking for a ''Handyman'', for our Haleco building, in Montreal, full time and on call for emergencies. Are you said to be a versatile person, agile with your hands and with a keen sense of organization? You are the person we need! Member of the maintenance department team, the handyman has the main function of ensuring the general maintenance of the building. Specifically, your daily life with us will look like :
- Make service calls
- Remove snow and ice on sidewalks
- Clear and salt the entrances
- Preventive maintenance on equipment
- Communicate the maintenance needs for materials and products and upkeep of the building to the immediate superior
- Minor repairs in apartments and common areas (plaster, paint, change lights, various installations, etc.)
- Actively participate in various company committees - Know and apply company policies and procedures
- Organise or perform all other related tasks regarding the maintenance department, as required and as requested by the immediate superior
- Knowledge of plumbing and electricity
- Able to lay floating floor
- Able to change water heaters
- All other related tasks
- Ensure the maintenance and cleanliness of the premises
- See to the maintenance and monitoring of equipment and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of fire safety rules
- Knowledge of ventilation system
