Position Summary :

The Cancer Clinical Research Unit is embarking on the next chapter of development with the Convergence Centre.  This Centre will focus on translational medicine in a patient friendly environment.  The Clinical Research Study Assistant (CRSA) will provide a customer service role that helps with coordinating activities amongst study personnel and study subjects such as booking appointments; assists the team in ordering to study specific supplies; administrative functions for patient reimbursements; attend team meetings and huddles and may assist with transport of study specimens and medications.

The CRSA applies fundamental knowledge of research principles theories and concepts; applies knowledge of research regulations and guidelines such as ICH / GCP guidelines Tri-Council Policy Declaration of Helsinki and FDA CFR and Health Canada TPD as required knowledge of medical terminology and / or dealing with regulatory issues.

Key responsibilities include :

• Scheduling study patient appointments
• Registration of study patients for appointments
• Ordering study specific and unit supplies
• Assist with patient reimbursement requests
• May assist the inter-professional team in performing study specific tasks
