Position Title : Program Officer, Communities
Location : Flexible within Canada. Montreal preferred. Remote employees must reside in Canada full-time.
Mode : Remote – Must reside within Canada
Employment type : Full-Time, Temporary (Leave Replacement) - 12 months with the possibility to extend.

Position Level : Professional I
Position Summary
The Program Officer, Reconciliation will support the work of the reconciliation focus area and help integrate reconciliation into many elements of our regular work. Through review and follow up on funding proposals, collaborating with partners, and end-to-end administrative support, the Program Officer plays a key support role.
Key Responsibities (Summary)
Program Support : Assisting the Program Director, Reconciliation in forecasting, communicating and operationalizing the reconciliation objectives and commitments of the Foundation.
Administration : Coordinating end to end administration of funding process for the reconciliation focus area, supporting the reception, review and follow ups of granting applications.
Collaboration and Representation : Interacting with community partners with integrity as a representative of the Foundation, its values, and its commitment to reconciliation by exploring new possibilities to implement the spirit and intent of reconciliation in Canada, extending the reach of the Foundation’s efforts in both policy and practice.
Position requirements
- Functional bilingualism with excellent oral and written skills in either English or French.
- Experience with and understanding of non-profit organizations and community-led initiatives.
- 3-4 years' experience in program support and / or administration.
- Post-Secondary degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Indigenous frameworks and practices.
- Availability and willingness to travel.
