Overview
Kelowna General Hospital’s Physiotherapy team is seeking a casual Certified Hand Therapist – Physiotherapist to provide relief coverage within the department. This is a flexible role with hours that are not guaranteed and may vary by operational need. Shifts may be Monday to Friday : 08 : 00-16 : 00, 08 : 30-16 : 30 and 09 : 00-13 : 00.

About The Position
In accordance with established vision and values of the organization; and in accordance with professional standards as outlined by the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC), and following guidelines developed by third party agencies (such as Workers’ Compensation Board-specific contract guidelines for a Hand Therapy Program), this position develops, plans, organizes, and implements a comprehensive Hand Therapy program. Utilizing clinical best practice and a goal-directed, evidence-based approach, this position is responsible for assessing and developing comprehensive treatment plans for referred clients including Worker’s Compensation Board (WCB) clients with hand and upper extremity dysfunction using appropriate therapeutic interventions.
