Apply today to join a workplace where you can truly thrive and make a lasting impact!  Job Description : We’re seeking an experienced Registered Dietitian to join our dedicated interdisciplinary Care Team at Lakeshore / Madison. As a key member of our team, you will play an integral role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through expert nutrition care, support, and education. As a Registered Dietitian, you will have a wide range of impactful duties, including : Resident Assessments & Care Plans : Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and create personalized care plans using Point Click Care , ensuring all nutrition-related needs are met for each resident. Collaboration : Work closely with our interdisciplinary care team, including nursing, care staff, and the kitchen team, to support the overall well-being of residents. Nutrition Education : Provide ongoing nutrition education to nursing, care, and kitchen staff. Conduct educational sessions and ensure accurate records are kept for compliance. Menu Development & Auditing : Collaborate with the Chef to review and adjust seasonal menus based on nutritional needs and feedback. Audit menus and maintain quality assurance programs like “Audits and More.” Monitoring & Reporting : Manage nutrition supplements, track significant weight changes, and clear intake alerts in Point Click Care . Ensure all records and assessments are thoroughly documented and updated in a timely manner. Resident Care Conferences : Actively participate in or prepare notes for resident care conferences, ensuring that nutrition concerns are highlighted and addressed. Communication & Support : Maintain open lines of communication with all departments, especially the kitchen and recreation teams, to address food concerns or recommendations brought up during resident council meetings. Qualifications : Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) in good standing. Active member of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC) and eligible for membership with Dietitians of Canada (DC). At least 2 years of recent clinical experience in long-term care settings. Certification to practice Restricted Activity A & C. Knowledge of Dysphagia Assessments is an asset. Proficient understanding of Division 3 (Nutrition) of the Residential Care Regulation under the Community Care and Assisted Living Act. Strong communication skills and a passion for working with seniors. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
