Reporting to the IT Quality Assurance Manager, the Senior Analyst, IT Quality Assurance develops and delivers best in class, reliable and cost-effective quality assurance & quality control solutions for Air Canada’s technology systems and products.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate w ith cross functional teams and communicate to our internal and external stakeholders the test progression, defect status reports and operational performance
• Ensure creation and maintenance of test cases & scripts, test plans, test metrics, defect metrics and review of the design and efficacy of test cases and test scripts
• Consolidate data to produce KPI metrics and dashboards to report against product quality, test progressions, risk analysis and release readiness
• Analyze defects & release related incidents and customer feedback to identify trends and incorporate preventive actions and mitigations as required
• Perform sample testing of technology systems to verify compliance to customer requirements
• Ensure software quality assurance for all phases of larger and more-complex development projects
• Identify gaps in testing and quality issues and create solutions to be incorporated into software and firmware architecture
• Analyze technology trends to determine impact to the achievement of business goals
• Support the definition and maintenance of test methods, techniques and calculations for identifying ways to improve QA services
• Provide technical and operational inputs to Business Governance and Operational Management Committees
• Responsible for working within a sub-functional area to ensure synergistic collaboration and attain shared goals
• Responsible for supporting the development of technical capabilities of the on / offshore teams specific to their sub-function
• Participate in Management and Operational Committees according to cadence, as required
• Responsible for handling moderate to high amount of complexity and drive decision making specific to processes and priorities for a functional area
• Responsible for driving continuous improvement objectives for a functional area
• Leading a team of onshore / offshore testers
• Cross-functional interaction and communication with delivery stakeholders in addition to senior leaders
• Quality Control points, regulatory compliance to WCAG 2.0 and IT Internal Controls
• High - cross-functional collaboration, large to complex projects
