Recruitment Specialist
35 hours / week
Waterloo Ontario
The Recruitment Specialist performs the recruitment function for the West District in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Manager in the District Office. They will work on department projects / priorities seeking to promote and develop effective recruitment practices and department procedures for the best interests of all employees within Karis Disability Services.
Under the coaching and mentorship of the District Services Manager the Recruitment Specialist will assist in providing general guidance education and counsel on Human Resources (HR) activities such as recruitment practices candidate selection and employee onboarding.
Key Responsibilities :
District Recruitment
- Post job vacancies and manage candidate pipelines.
- Conduct pre-screens reference checks and coordinate interviews.
- Provide hiring recommendations and support to District supervisors.
- Maintain compliance with employment policies and Ontario Human Rights Code.
- Liaise with community employment agencies and educational institutions.
