As a Senior QA Analyst - PDI, reporting to the Director Platform Data Integration, you’ll be responsible for defining test strategy, building scalable automation frameworks, and ensuring enterprise‑grade quality across APIs and integration platforms.

In addition to hands‑on automation, this role provides technical leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance for quality practices across PDI initiatives. The Senior QA Analyst partners with developers, architects, and platform teams to ensure that APIs and integrations are testable, resilient, performant, and production‑ready.

What You'll be Doing:

Advanced API & Integration Test Automation

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑scale API automation frameworks.
  • Define testing standards for RESTful APIs, integrations, and data flows.
  • Develop advanced automation using Karate, including reusable features and shared libraries.
  • Review and guide API test coverage across multiple initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency in validation of contracts, schemas, and error handling.

Performance, Reliability & Resiliency Testing

  • Own performance and load testing strategy using tools such as JMeter and Gatling.
  • Design test scenarios that simulate real‑world usage and failure conditions.
  • Analyze performance results and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Validate resiliency patterns such as retries, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation.
  • Partner with developers to resolve systemic quality and performance risks.

Test Strategy, DevOps & Quality Engineering

  • Define and evolve QA automation strategy for PDI.
  • Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Establish quality gates and release readiness criteria.
  • Improve test execution reliability across environments.
  • Reduce manual testing through automation and tooling improvements.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship

  • Mentor QA and development team members on API testing and automation best practices.
  • Lead test design and automation code reviews.
  • Influence solution design by providing testability and quality feedback early.
  • Act as a trusted quality advisor to product owners and technical leadership.

Collaboration, Reporting and Governance

  • Communicate quality risks, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Lead defect triage and quality risk assessments.
  • Define and track quality metrics for APIs and integrations.
  • Contribute to enterprise QA standards, documentation, and governance.

What you Bring:

Technical Skills

  • Expert experience testing RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Karate for API automation.
  • Strong experience with Postman and API contract validation.
  • Deep experience with JMeter and Gatling for performance and load testing.
  • Experience with Loan Runner or equivalent integration testing tools.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio Code.
  • Strong working knowledge of Java and JavaScript.
  • Extensive experience integrating automation into Azure DevOps Pipelines.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps Git and branching strategies.
  • Strong understanding of API security, data integrity, and integration patterns.

Soft Skills

  • Strong system‑level thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence technical decisions and quality outcomes.
  • Clear and confident communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • High degree of ownership and accountability.
  • Leadership mindset with a focus on enablement and coaching.

Experience and Education

  • 6–10+ years of experience in QA automation or quality engineering.
  • Proven experience leading API and integration testing efforts.
  • Demonstrated leadership in defining quality strategies and frameworks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications (optional but beneficial):
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer
  • Performance testing certifications
  • Cloud, DevOps, or integration‑focused certifications

Other Role Requirements

  • Participation in release governance and production readiness reviews.
  • Adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in quality engineering practices.
