  • Configure and manage AWS services including IAM, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager, and other supporting services.
  • Collaborate with Guidewire developers and integration teams to migrate application services and interfaces to AWS.
  • Support the migration of existing integrations, APIs, and backend services to cloud-native architectures.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment of cloud applications.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards using AWS CloudWatch and related tools.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, application, and integration issues throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Ensure cloud solutions meet enterprise security, scalability, availability, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Produce technical documentation, deployment guides, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.
  • Provide post-deployment support and assist with production issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years of hands-on AWS development experience.
  • Experience supporting cloud migration or modernization initiatives for enterprise applications.
  • Strong experience developing serverless applications using AWS Lambda.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs using Amazon API Gateway.
  • Hands-on experience with core AWS services, including:

    • AWS Secrets Manager
    • AWS Systems Manager
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Strong programming skills in one or more of the following:
    • Java
    • Python
    • Node.js
    • C#

  • Strong understanding of AWS networking, security, identity management, and cloud architecture best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working on Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, or Guidewire Cloud Platform projects.
  • Experience integrating Guidewire applications with external systems using APIs, messaging services, or event-driven architectures.
  • Experience supporting enterprise cloud migration initiatives within the insurance industry.
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Amazon ECS, or Amazon EKS.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud security frameworks.
  • Experience with automated testing and deployment pipelines.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, X-Ray, Grafana, or Datadog.
Preferred Skills
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native application design and serverless architecture.
  • Experience working within large enterprise cloud transformation programs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Guidewire, DevOps, QA, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams.
