The Opportunity!

Are you a someone who thrives in a vital support role, managing the full administrative underwriting lifecycle of insurance policies? If so, this is the CAREER for you!

As an Underwriting Assistant, you will assist in providing general administrative support to our Underwriting Team while delivering outstanding service activities.

A day in the life –

  • Provide support our team of diverse Underwriters with general administrative duties.

  • Perform data entry and set up new business policies.

  • Process renewals, new business, and cancellations:

    Update and maintain our broker management system

    Request cheques for client refunds

    Contact sales team advising of discrepancies

    Compare and analyze data from carriers to existing client files

    Perform billing of client premiums

    Prepare client document packages

What you bring –

  • Easy going and down to have some fun with a customer service mindset.

  • Ready to work hard and crush goals.

  • Detail oriented and reliable.

  • Thrives in a fast paced, team environment.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Level 1 Insurance License is an asset.

  • Minimum of 1 -2 years’ experience within an office and/or administrative capacity is an asset.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is an asset.

Salary Expectations –

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
