The Saskatchewan Health Authority is currently recruiting Psychiatrists to join our team in the North West area of the beautiful province of Saskatchewan.

You will join a group of both Forensic and Rehabilitation psychiatrists delivering care in both an acute inpatient and outpatient hospital environment. We also boast a new state of the art facility, which delivers a combination of rehabilitative and forensic services for the Province of Saskatchewan.

Highlights :

• Compensation is sessional contract, $480,761.00, plus on-call stipend
• On-call duties shared with pool of colleagues from two psychiatric services
• Participation in teaching and mentoring medical learners and residents is an expectation and allows the opportunity to obtain Academic Professorship through the University Of Saskatchewan College Of Medicine.

Our Facilities :

The Battlefords Mental Health Centre is a 22-bed acute inpatient unit attached to the Battlefords Union Hospital. Typically, each psychiatrist will be responsible for the care of 5 - 6 inpatients, with afternoons devoted to outpatient follow-ups. Although some adolescent and elderly patients receive treatment on the unit, the majority of the clinical work is general adult psychiatry.

Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford is a 284-bed facility serving the province of Saskatchewan, which includes 96 beds for mentally ill offenders from Correctional Services. There is no outpatient component to this position. This opportunity offers the opportunity to for those interested in forensic work as well as the care and treatment of long-term rehabilitation patients.
