Property Accountant, Edmonton

We are seeking a dynamic and courageous Property Accountant to join our Edmonton team, someone who is ready to dig in, understand operational challenges, and work with the Income Producing Properties team. This role will report into the Finance Business Partner.

Role Overview :

The Property Accountant is responsible maintaining accurate financial records for our properties, preparing monthly reports, and assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process. The Property Accountant will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. CPA designation or equivalent certification is considered an asset.
• Industry Knowledge : Experience in GAAP and tax compliance regulations and a solid understanding of financial data analysis is highly desirable.
• Strategic Thinker : Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, balancing big picture vision with attention to detail.
• Resilient and Adaptable : Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence challenging personalities and complex situations.
• Excellent Communicator : Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.
• Innovative Mindset : A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to challenge the status quo.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare ledgers, reports, data, and analysis.

Provide support on monthly and yearly requirements.
