Job description

What if you could redefine what’s possible? With us, you can.

You want Purpose. Growth. Opportunity.

We are the home of ambitious, passionate, and innovative world shapers.

With an unmatched breadth and depth of engineering, advisory and science‑based expertise, our global minds unite to power local solutions. We are pathfinders and impact makers.

We are Visioneers. We are WSP.

The Opportunity

Shape the future of mining projects with WSP’s Project Management team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a diverse network of experts—from wildlife specialists to hydrogeologists and geotechnical engineers—on projects that matter. You’ll lead initiatives across all stages of the project life cycle, from planning and execution to closure, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule. Based in Western Canada (Calgary or Vancouver) , this position offers the chance to influence mine engineering design, closure planning, environmental permitting, feasibility studies, and more.

Your Impact

  • Manage multi‑disciplinary mining and construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Drive project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with technical leads and HSSE resources to ensure safe, efficient project execution.
  • Lead proposal development and client presentations to secure new opportunities.
  • Apply best‑in‑class project management tools and practices to optimize performance and stakeholder satisfaction.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (B.Sc., B.A.Sc., C.E.T.) and 8+ years of experience in engineering or project management, including consulting.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Technologist (or eligibility for licensure across provinces).
  • Proven expertise in project financial tracking, change management, and risk mitigation.
  • Familiarity with MS Project, Primavera P6, and advanced Excel for planning and analysis.
  • Mining and / or construction experience is an asset; PMP certification highly desirable.
  • Ready to Shape the Future?

Take the next step in your career and join us in redefining what’s possible. Apply today and let’s create lasting change together!

    Why Choose WSP?

  • We value and uphold a culture of inclusion and belonging.
  • Flexible work options to support balance in your life.
  • A Canadian success story with global reach—your ideas matter here.
  • Comprehensive benefits, wellness programs, and career growth opportunities.
  • A collaborative culture filled with genuinely good people doing humbly important work.
