Job overview-
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Control Panel Shop Project Manager to oversee the daily operations of the control panel shop, ensuring efficiency in high quality production, and adherence to safety standards. The role includes managing staff, liaising with customers, ensuring timely delivery of products, and controlling costs while maximizing profitability. He will also ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Reports to- President / Owner
Essential duties and responsibilities :
Operational Management - Manage the day-to-day operations of the control panel shop, including scheduling, workflow optimization, and maintaining equipment. Collaboration and consult with all the technicians on projects.
- Quotations - Prepare and process customer quotations. This includes proper selection of products, specifications, designs and determination of appropriate pricing.
- Staff Management - Supervise and motivate a team. This includes training, providing ongoing feedback, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Quality Control - Ensure all control panels are built to the highest quality and meet all applicable shop standards and code specifications.
- Customer Relations - Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing updates and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Health and Safety Compliance - Enforce adherence to workplace safety regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment for all employees.
- Cost Control and Budgeting - Monitor expenses, manage inventory, and ensure that costs are controlled without compromising quality.
- Reporting and Documentation - Maintain accurate records and provide regular reports to the President regarding shop performance, KPIs.
- Supplier Relations - Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
- Problem Solving - Address any operational issues that arise, such as equipment failures or staffing shortages, ensuring minimal impact on production.
Technical – The incumbent in this role, will also be responsible for working alongside for building on panels, this includes but is not limited to the following :

On site conditions can vary, either working in a trailer on site, walking or on your feet for long periods of time, high levels of noise, weather and temperature can vary depending on season, mainly outdoors.
