Job Description :
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Permits Coordinator to join our team! In this role you will get to manage all aspects of permit applications, approvals, and compliance for the Airport Development Project.
This role requires strong knowledge of local and national permitting processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple permit-related tasks simultaneously. The Permits Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that all necessary permits are obtained in a timely manner, minimizing delays and ensuring the project adheres to regulatory requirements.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Coordinate the application and approval process for all required permits and licenses for the project, including building, environmental, and operational permits.
- Work closely with local, regional, and governmental authorities to submit applications and ensure that all requirements are met for timely approval.
- Monitor the status of permit applications and follow up with authorities to expedite approvals and resolve any issues or delays.
- Ensure that the project adheres to all applicable regulations and laws, including zoning, environmental, construction, and health and safety regulations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, regional, and national permitting requirements, ensuring that all applications comply with current laws and regulations.
- Advise project teams on any specific permit-related requirements or restrictions that may impact project activities or timelines.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of permits, licenses, approvals, and other related documentation, ensuring that all records are accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
- Ensure that all necessary supporting documents, including project plans, drawings, and environmental assessments, are provided with permit applications.
- Prepare and file permit-related reports and maintain all associated records in accordance with legal and company requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all permit-related inquiries and correspondence between project teams, contractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with construction, environmental, legal, and project management teams to identify and resolve any permitting issues or challenges.
- Coordinate with external consultants, engineers, and legal teams as needed to prepare and submit permit applications and documentation.
- Proactively identify potential permitting challenges or risks, including delays in obtaining permits or changes in regulatory requirements.
- Work with the project team and stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies to address permitting risks or delays.
- Resolve any issues or disputes with authorities regarding permits or approvals, ensuring that the project remains on schedule.
- Schedule and coordinate inspections and audits related to permits, ensuring that all work meets the requirements of the approved permits.
- Address any non-compliance issues identified during inspections, coordinating with the project team to rectify issues promptly.
- Maintain records of inspection results and follow up on any corrective actions required.
- Monitor permit expiration dates and manage the renewal process to ensure that permits remain valid throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities to initiate renewals or extensions as necessary to avoid project delays or interruptions.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management and stakeholders on the status of permit applications, approvals, and compliance.
- Ensure that all permit-related documentation is filed, tracked, and maintained in accordance with the project’s record-keeping procedures.
