Job description

As the global leader in high-speed connectivity, Ciena is committed to a people-first approach. Our teams enjoy a culture focused on prioritizing a flexible work environment that empowers individual growth, well-being, and belonging. We’re a technology company that leads with our humanity—driving our business priorities alongside meaningful social, community, and societal impact.

You'll need to interpret technical drawings, work effectively in a team, and use computer software to elaborate you design and do record-keeping.

The Must Haves:

  • Practical Experience and Technical Knowledge: Any hands-on experience in the field of mechanics, whether through previous internships, school projects, or personal work, can be a major asset. A strong understanding of mechanical principles and techniques, including knowledge of mechanical systems, tools and equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes is essential.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to identify and solve problems is a key skill in mechanics. This involves diagnosing problems, finding effective solutions, and implementing them.
