We are looking for a Category Manager with an excellent understanding of CAPEX procurement specifically within Manufacturing with a strong preference toward consumer packaged goods or FMCG. The CAPEX Category Manager will be a driving force behind the sourcing of CAPEX categories, playing a crucial role in the creation and implementation of category strategies. With a focus on data analysis, market profiling, and supplier selection, they will lead negotiations and foster strong relationships. Overseeing CAPEX projects from a procurement perspective, the manager will bring vision and purpose to their role. Ideal candidates will blend CAPEX category management expertise with consulting skills, empowering them to shine in this position.
Experience
- Experienced in managing global spending, with a strong focus on Europe, North America, South America, and China.
- Skilled in CAPEX category management and dedicated to supporting CAPEX projects. Proficient in developing sourcing strategies, planning sourcing waves, executing projects, conducting market research, qualifying suppliers, negotiating, and closing contracts.
- Background in corporate environments, ideally within professional services, with valuable exposure to supply chain, procurement, operations, or strategy; consulting experience is highly regarded.
- Well-versed in the CAPEX environment.
- A minimum of 4 years in the dynamic consumer packaged goods sector. Consulting expertise.
- Successfully managed CAPEX expenditures, overseeing an annual budget of at least $500 million.
- Bilingual in French Canadian and English, excelling in both written and verbal communication skills
