Shift: Monday – Friday with shifts between the hours of 1:00pm – 3:30pm

Salary: $21.73 per hour

Reports To: Coordinator

Nature & Scope

Join Our Team! Reporting to the Coordinator of Transportation and Administration, the successful candidate will fulfill a wide range of duties relating to picking up and transporting children by bus from their schools to the YMCA after School Care Centres. The Bus Monitor is responsible for the wellbeing of children being safely transported from their school to their respective centre.

Major Responsibilities- in this position, you will:

  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and report any concerns to Coordinator
  • Safely transport children from their schools to their respective centres
  • Provide a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for children while ensuring safe passage to their destination

Qualification-you bring:

  • 19 years of age or older (per licensing)
  • Physical ability to do all duties required
  • Current Child Care First Aid, CPR and AED certification or willingness to obtain
  • Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
