Probation Rate : $18.15 per hour ($19.01 per hour after probation)

Gateway Casino is seeking a customer-service pro who loves working in the fast-paced and exciting world of the casino. The Slot Attendant role puts you in the heart of the action. This role is ideal for those who love interacting with the public and providing support to our guests who enjoy playing the slot machines.

In this role, you provide front-line customer support, including observing slot players and machines, offering instructions, and answering questions on various games to ensure our guests have a memorable experience at Gateway.

Key Responsibilities

Promote ongoing and upcoming casino promotions

Manage slot machine reservations and casino initiatives

Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and provincial gaming regulations

Handle cash float, verify jackpots, and provide payouts and change

Report violations to appropriate authorities

Maintain slot machines and monitor machine lights for prompt service

Stay informed on slot operation policies and procedures

Perform other duties as needed

What You Bring

Experience with cash handling and customer service

Excellent customer service skills and ability to work quickly

Basic knowledge of slot machine functions (asset)

Ability to stand for long periods and lift objects

Serving It Right (BC) certification

Ability to register with BCLC

Multi-tasking skills and team-oriented attitude

Willingness to develop skills and stay updated on industry news
