Inpho’s new class of electro‑photonic chips is poised to revolutionize and disrupt the optical interconnect market. Utilizing this new class of chips enables existing optical interconnect systems to be built at much lower cost, new architectures to be deployed that provide significantly higher price / performance, and a whole new generation of higher speed interconnect to be built that to date have been impossible.
About the Role
We’re hiring a hands‑on Reliability & Quality Engineer to lead device level and assembly level reliability (optical & electronic) and drive supplier quality. You’ll own GR468 / JESD47‑aligned qual plans, ESD robustness, FA, SPC / capability, and QMS processes; working closely with Design, Test, Ops, and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability (Optical & Electronics)
- Create and execute qualification plans per Telcordia GR468 and JEDEC JESD47 (HTOL, HTS, TC, DH, HAST where applicable); define sample sizes, readouts, and acceptance criteria.
- Own ESD robustness and controls : JS001 (HBM) and JS002 (CDM); coordinate test houses.
- Plan / execute HALT / HASS / ALT / DOE to establish margins and screen failure modes.
- Lead failure analysis (internal & lab partners) : CSAM, X‑ray, cross‑section, SEM / EDS, FIB; drive root cause and corrective actions.
- Build reliability models, FIT / MTBF estimates, derating and mission profiles.
