The Trillium Lakelands District School Board invites applications for aPERMANENT PART-TIME LIBRARY CLERKAtGlen Orchard Public School near Port Carling This permanent, part-time position is effective starting on Monday August 26, 2024. This position will work with the School Administration to ensure the smooth operation of our school Library. Duties : Prepare the library for the start / end of the school year; Ensuring library resources are in order and in good condition; Setting up patrons for library circulation; Managing library circulation; Adding, editing and deleting library resources; Coordinating circulation schedules; Preparing and distributing library reports (over dues, etc.). Managing the inventory process when required. Provide secretarial and clerical support in the office when required. Other related secretarial duties as assigned. Qualifications Required : Secondary School Graduation Diploma; Related experience over six months, up to including one (1) year; Demonstrated computer knowledge and practical experience on multi-screen database systems, and using Word, Excel and Google Suite; Personal qualities of maturity, tact and discretion; Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision; Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with staff members, parents, students and the general public both in person and on the phone is absolutely essential.
