What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Assessing the condition of existing building envelopes, recommending solutions for failed building envelopes, and authoring of reports.
  • Building envelope design review of architectural drawings and specifications
  • Review of submittals, shop drawings, substitution requests and requests for information
  • Mock-up review, plant visits and witness testing
  • Design and preparation of construction documents of building envelope assemblies in restoration
  • Preparing specifications and drawings for rehabilitation and design projects
  • Conducting construction contract administration and construction review services
  • Performing building condition assessments, performance audit, asset and property review / assessment, reserve fund studies, design, and coordinating various building repair(s)
  • Liaising with clients, building strong client relationships, and generating new business

What your experience looks like

  • A degree or diploma in Architecture or Engineering with eligibility to be registered as an Engineer in Training or Intern Architect. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in an architectural science program will also be considered.
  • Previous experience in a construction environment such as project management, labor, trade, design
  • Willing to work at heights and using tools to access at elevated building elements.
  • A valid driver’s license with own vehicle and travel throughout Alberta is required.
  • Skilled at written and verbal communication.
