Overview
RDH is seeking a Senior Specialist, Building Enclosure to join our Canada West leadership team. We focus on delivering scalable climate‑resilient solutions for clients and future generations, with emphasis on differentiating through innovation and quality. The Canada West region leads in building science challenges, with a portfolio that includes high performance and complex projects, and aims to grow our new building consulting services and our work on existing buildings to address climate resilience.
For new buildings we target high performance, low carbon and sustainable design goals, including façades with prefabrication, international procurement, high thermal performance, and unusual geometry. Current projects include Net Zero Carbon, mass timber, and Passive House across offices, multi-unit residential, institutional, and civic projects. For existing buildings we address deep retrofits, long‑term resilience plans, and interventions aligned with climate resilience goals, reducing operational carbon emissions and improving health and comfort. RDH leads in policy development for deep retrofits and rehabilitation of building enclosures, with strong client relationships and anticipated growth in this area. For all buildings we conduct fundamental research, develop products, create policy, and provide training and publications to lead the industry. Geographically, the Vancouver team serves British Columbia with support from Vancouver Island and other offices, while also supporting projects globally and expanding locally in Alberta and the Yukon.

The role includes development and maintenance of client relationships, identifying and responding to project opportunities, delivering building science service offerings, providing technical leadership, and developing staff to support our services. You will also contribute to the strategic direction of our Canada West region and take on internal team leadership responsibilities.
