We’re looking for a Senior Process Engineer who’s passionate about innovation, thrives on challenge, and wants to help scale breakthrough technology from pilot to commercial reality.

What you'll do

Engineer with Precision :

Create and refine catalytic reactor models, perform critical process calculations, provide technical oversight on third‑party designs, and ensure our projects meet the highest standards for safety and performance.

Champion Safety :

Lead HAZOP participation, manage technical risk registers, anticipate scalability challenges, mitigate risks, and embed safety into every step of our process.

Innovate & Drive Improvement :

Analyze data and identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and technology advancement. Support planning and execution of experiments and translate findings into commercial solutions.

Collaborate & Influence :

Serve as technical authority and Owner’s Representative with EPC firms and vendors, ensuring alignment from design through commissioning. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) required

8+ years of process engineering experience (chemical / petrochemical preferred) and technical leadership

Expertise in process design, scale‑up, and FEED studies

Hands‑on pilot plant and experimental data analysis experience

Familiarity with HAZOPs, process safety, and risk management

Collaborative, curious, and committed to safety

Flexible, entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for mentoring

Bonus Points For

Experience with first‑of‑a‑kind technology development

Familiarity with EPC project execution and vendor management

The pay range for this role is :

130,000 - 150,000 CAD per year (Carbonova Headquarters)
