Plant Manager – High-End Custom Manufacturing
York Region, Ontario
Our client, a long-established North American leader in high-end custom manufacturing is seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at its state-of-the-art facility.
With decades of industry presence, the company is renowned for its commitment to quality craftsmanship, innovation, and tailored design solutions.
Reporting directly to the COO, the Plant Manager will lead core departments including Scheduling, Production, Maintenance, and Shipping.
The Plant Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence, team development, and continuous improvement across the plant.
The ideal Plant Manager is a strong and motivational leader with a proven ability to manage complex production environments.
They will bring a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset and possess exceptional decision-making and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years' experience in high-complexity, mass-customization manufacturing environments
At least 5 years in a Plant Manager role overseeing teams of 25 or more employees
Proven background in the woodworking and / or millwork industries
Knowledge of premium wood finishing techniques is a strong advantage
Demonstrated expertise in LEAN manufacturing, including production planning and value stream mapping
Comprehensive and current understanding of WSIB and OHSA compliance requirements
Strong track record in leading organizational change and fostering collaborative, high-performing teams
Skilled in reporting operational performance and key metrics to executive leadership teams
Experience working within a unionized environment is considered an asset
