Job descriptionDemonstrating values of integrity, humility, respect for others, teamwork and collaboration, accountability and performance Experience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable, maintenance management systems and proactive maintenance practices. Highly developed leadership, change management, interpersonal, communication and people management skills to drive plant performance Must be able to develop and coach managers and supervisors in a high performing environment Has demonstrated the ability to initiate critical conversations and provide timely feedback as needed Experience in fostering and maintaining a positive and productive labor relations environment in a union environment Leadership and manufacturing management experience in continuous improvement activities and driving results in safety, quality, service and productivity Strong skills in the areas of supply chain, production planning, scheduling, engineering, maintenance, management accounting, and project management Development and implementation of operational criteria to measure the achievement of plant objectives and efficiencies Experience with implementing systematic approaches to delivering and sustaining results. Track record of meeting deadlines, working independently, and practicing good organizational skills Possesses strong interpersonal skills, and effective leadership characteristics working with all employees, support resources, sales, suppliers, customers and the local community Strong PC & software skills in Microsoft Office applications Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma expertise a definite asset Bachelor of engineering degree (preference Mechanical engineering) with minimum 10 years plant manager experience or equivalent Potential for to more senior roles in the organization Recognizes the key actions necessary to achieve results, establishes and communicates the priorities to others, and maintains own and others focus on achieving the important goals Demonstrates persistence in overcoming roadblocks to achieving results and encourages others to do the same Interpersonal Relations Anticipates outcomes of decisions and thinks ahead to effectively prioritize workload. Planning and Organizing, Is committed to continuous improvement of products and processes and inspires a culture that demands high quality and performance Develops strategies and plans for achieving goals while also planning for contingencies and effectively monitoring progress

Job Description
IKO Industries Ltd. is a market leader in the manufacturing of roofing and building materials. The Plant Manager is an experienced and hands‑on transformational leader who is capable of leading technological and cultural change to drive performance. This individual must have previous experience with plant performance turnaround in a complex technical manufacturing environment. This position will be responsible for directing and coordinating all manufacturing activities at the facility in order to meet and exceed operational goals and objectives in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, employee relations, customer service, product quality, cost and productivity. The plant currently has approximately 110+ employees.
