Job descriptionDevelop and mentor employees, provide feedback, and recognize achievements Ensure all operations comply with company policies and legal regulations Plan daily operations, assign staff, approve overtime, and manage costs Lead continuous improvement initiatives in line with ISO and LEAN principles Oversee capacity planning for equipment, space, and workforce based on workload forecasts Ensure all tasks are completed on time, meeting on-time delivery goals Maintain and improve location quality programs Ensure compliance with WSIB regulations and corporate safety policies, including workplace inspections and equipment maintenance Oversee incident reporting, investigations, and prevention measures, ensuring employees follow safe work procedures and use proper PPE Lead safety training and return-to-work programs, working with the Regional Health & Safety Manager and Joint Health & Safety Committee Assist with budget planning, capital expenditures, and maintenance programs Work with different departments to meet production standards and business goals You have a minimum of 3 years experience in a plant management (or similar) role You have strong knowledge of the Ontario employment act Experience with metal processing : saw cutting, overhead cran and loading You have supervisory experience working in a unionized manufacturing / production environment You have STRONG communication and interpersonal skills. This role will require you to build relationships with all employees, supervisors and internal stakeholders Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills Prior experience in process improvement programs is an asset You have strong project management, planning and decision making skills. strong computer skills - MS Office is key and are able to learn other software A college diploma in engineering or business administration considered an asset
