Medical Director, Observation Unit (RDU)
The Department of Emergency Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical in New Brunswick is seeking a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join Rutgers as a Director for our Observation Unit / Rapid Decision Unit (RDU) .
The Director will be responsible for administrative supervision of all medical services performed in the RDU, managing the RDU per organizational and regulatory guidelines, and overseeing all physicians and mid-levels by their job descriptions.
This is a great opportunity for an eager physician to join a well-established, multi-disciplinary team alongside a robust support staff, including advanced practice providers and scribes, to deliver high-level care at an academic institution.
Responsibilities :
- Managing and delivering clinical services only in the observation unit.
- Teaching and supervising physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical students, and Emergency Medicine residents.
- Coordinating clinical services.
