Position Description:
Security clearance: Reliability Clearance granted preferably or eligible (5+ years residing in Canada)
The Data Scientist will design and deliver end‑to‑end data solutions using Azure Databricks, SQL, and cloud data platforms to support client analytics and decision‑making. They will develop pipelines, build models, and translate complex data into clear insights while collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Blob Storage, MongoDB, and Gremlin DB
Write complex, optimized SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
Develop ML models and manage experiments using MLflow
Work with APIs for data ingestion and automation
Use visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI, Tableau) to present insights
Apply database backup, recovery, and redundancy best practices
Use Azure DevOps for version control, CI/CD, and task management
Document workflows and contribute to process automation
Communicate results clearly with technical and non‑technical audiences
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering
- Strong experience with SQL (complex queries, performance tuning)
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, MLflow, MongoDB, and Gremlin DB
- Experience building or integrating with APIs
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Power BI, Tableau)
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and redundancy
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience automating workflows and document processes
- Exposure to Azure AI Foundry
- Experience with LLM optimization (batching, quantization)
- Experience with automated document parsing (OCR, NER, classification, extraction)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
