We currently have eight elementary schools three middle schools one high school three alternate programs two Provincial Online Learning options (a teacher-guided Home Learners Program for K-8 and Online Learning options for 9-12) and continuing education options. For the younger learners we also offer a combination of StrongStart programs childcare options and a pilot pre-school.

CASUAL On-Call EDUCATION ASSISTANT

Job Function :

• Reports to the school principal or designate
• Supports the formal education program through the direct supervision of student activities in the school and community in a wide variety of settings
• May assist students with the learning of basic life skills communication skills or socialization skills
• May be actively involved with the child / children during all activities
• Prepares teaching aids and materials
• Provides physical assistance to students who require it
• Expected to provide personal care assistance including but not limited to lifting feeding toileting etc.
• Other related duties as required
