Job Posting # : 1931-25Position SummaryThe Financial Controller is responsible for leading the management of financial operations within the Agency. They are accountable for ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial processes, and they manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting responsibilities for the Finance Department. Collaborating closely with the Division's Director, they facilitate the development and implementation of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. The Financial Controller is an active, contributing member of the Agency's Leadership Team (ALT) and leads in alignment with the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Leadership Model.Hours of WorkPermanent Full-time (35 hours per week)LocationNorth Bay, ONHourly Rate / SalaryMinimum $49.26 to maximum $59.93 per hour; Salary commensurate with education and experienceClosing DateThis posting will remain open until the position has been filledQualificationsFour (4) year Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration (Finance / Accounting), or other relevant degreeChartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation requiredPayroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or Payroll Leadership Professional (PLP) designation is considered an assetMinimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience, including management level experience in finance and accounting roles, demonstrating a strong understanding of Canadian accounting standards and regulatory complianceExperience in a non-profit organization, or in using Accounting Standards for Not-For-Profit Organizations (ASNPO) is preferred.Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Advanced skills using accounting software including working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Accounting Software, such as Net Suite, Sage, SAP or otherAdvanced software skills using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, Share Point, and Outlook); experience using Clientand Human Resources Information Systems an assetExperience in human resources management practices, including team development, training, coaching and mentoring staffExperience with strategic and operational planning / implementation, strategic key performance measurement practices, organizational risk assessment practices and working with Senior Leaders and Board membersKnowledge and experience in anti-oppressive practices related to Equity, Diversity, and InclusionHistory of working productively and collaboratively with stakeholders.Must have excellent communication skills including excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and be proficient in making presentations and professional business writingStrong degree of data literacy to analyze, interpret, and communicate data and information to diverse audiencesHighly adaptive, resilient, and responsive to changing circumstancesExperience with LEADS or other leadership framework, change management, performance management, project management, compliance, risk management, continuous quality improvement practices, and data management and analysisExcellent critical thinking skills; solution-orientedHistory of working productively and collaboratively with stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to engage staff at all levels and to lead groups and facilitate group activities in a consultative and collaborative mannerDemonstrated commitment to workplace health and safety, with a willingness to contribute and lead in the culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events for clients and their families / caregivers, colleagues, other community members and yourselfSuccessful applicants will be required to provide : Proof of eligibility to work in CanadaA valid class G Ontario driver's licence and use of a reliable motor vehicle; insurability on Agency vehicle insurance policyClear Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector SearchClear Credit CheckPreference will be given to bilingual (French / English) candidatesApplication ProcessHands The Family Help Network.Ca is an equal opportunity employer and we value the importance of diversity, dignity and worth of every individual in the workplace.
