Personal assistant Jobs in Dieppe, NB

We are looking for a fun, caring and patient individual to help support our family with household tasks, meal prep and providing support and enrichment for our two neurodivergent children.

Key responsibilities would include :

• Providing after-school and summer enrichment by engaging in indoor and outdoor activities with the kids (such as imaginative play, arts & crafts, games, reading books, going for walks to the nearby park, planning outings, etc…)
• Preparing snacks for the kids and meals ideally for the whole family (we are hoping to find someone who enjoys cooking and would enjoy creating nutritious and delicious meals)
• Providing support in other ways, as needed, such as : cleaning, folding laundry, running errands, meal planning, etc…

The ideal candidate will :

• Be patient, soft spoken & enjoy spending time with kids
• Be able to maintain a basic routine and structure while also being able to go with the flow as needed
• Be able to calmly enforce boundaries and expectations while redirecting challenging behaviours
• Have experience with and / or up to date knowledge on best practices when caring for neurodiverse children and youth mental health
• Prioritize protecting our families privacy and maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information
• Be willing to obtain First Aid and Food Safe certification
• Have awareness / training in managing food allergies and dietary restrictions
• Be interested in and willing to learn more about caring for individuals with specific health conditions as needed
• Be flexible and open to adapting the role as needs change
• Be willing to learn about and adapt to our lifestyle / families parenting style
• Have a love for animals
• Must have own vehicle
• Flexibility in scheduling, with availability to work part-time, with the possibility of increasing to more during the summer.
