Senior PCB Layout Designer

Dell’s 5G R&D team will design and develop ground-breaking products & solutions, as a first-ever go-to-market for Dell in this space. It’s a fascinating field of work. What you’ll achieve

If you’re interested in taking part in a once in a career opportunity, Dell is looking for a Senior PCB Layout Designer with expertise in layout of complex multi-layer PCBs containing mixed signal circuits to be part of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered Ottawa R&D team. The team will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have significant work experience in layout of PCB with RF, high-speed digital and analog components.

You will :

• Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to develop layout strategies for complex multi-layer boards with RF, High-Speed Digital, and Analog components.
• Work closely with board shop and contract manufacturers to ensure closure of DfM, DfA, and DfT.
• Generate PCB output files for board shop and contract manufacturers (ODB++, Gerber, Assembly Drawing, Fab notes, drill files, etc.).
• Ensure proper handoff between eCAD and mCAD.
• Maintain PCB design flow.
