Kelly Services' has partnered with a client in Orangeville, Ontario to recruit for a General Accountant.
Location : In-office (Orangeville, ON)
Type : Part-time (20-30 hours per week) - may lead to full time
Salary : $25-$35 / hr (based on experience)
Responsibilities
Finance & Bookkeeping
Receive, organize, and record all incoming invoices, bills, and POs from all employees and subcontractors.
Post bills and payments in CETEC.
Perform daily bank and credit card reconciliations
Create and manage purchase orders on CETEC and match them to orders.
Create and manage customer invoices on CETEC and match them to orders.
Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll, CRA remittances, WSIB, and benefit deductions
Manage GST / PST / QST tracking, T4s, T5018s
Liaise with external accountants for reporting and tax preparation
Handle all Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
Calculate commissions and employee reimbursements
Month-end close ownership over general and internal financial statement reports
Admin & Communication
Monitor and respond to emails related to finances from company staff or customers / subcontractors etc. (invoices, payments, etc.)
Generate customer statements and send insurance / WSIB documents upon request
Follow up with vendors and clients on overdue invoices or documents
Serve as the financial right hand to the company owners
Must haves
3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll experience
Proficiency with :
CETEC or alternative Accounting / ERP software
Excel or Google Sheets (formulas, pivots, lookups)
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with subcontractors, employees, and vendors
Ability to review the business financials, be proactive as well as have the initiative to address any improvements needed.
Experience in a manufacturing, construction or trade-based business strongly preferred
Exceptionally organized, accountable, and able to manage high volumes of financial details
