Our client, a dynamic company known for its dedication to quality and innovation, is seeking an experienced payroll professional to join their team.About the Role : As a Payroll Specialist, you will play an integral role in managing payroll operations for a construction workforce. The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to navigate unionized environments, handle multiple collective bargaining agreements, and ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.Key Responsibilities : Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.Manage payroll operations for unionized employees across various collective bargaining agreements.Handle inquiries regarding pay calculations, deductions, and employee concerns.Maintain records for payroll adjustments, reconciliations, and reporting.Ensure compliance with Ontario and federal payroll regulations.Provide expertise in multi-provincial payroll processing, if required.Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline processes and improve payroll efficiency.Prepare and analyze payroll reports using advanced Excel tools.Qualifications and Skills : Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP certification) is required.Experience in payroll processing and managing unionized environments is essential.Strong knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.Experience in multi-provincial payroll processing is a nice-to-have but highly beneficial.Advanced Excel skills with proficiency in formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Strong interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.Why Join?This is a fantastic opportunity for professionals seeking to elevate their career in payroll within the fast-paced construction industry.
