We are recruiting for a permanent full-time People and Culture Business Partner to provide a broad range of services including but not limited to assisting with aligning People and Culture practices to achieve Empower Simcoe's strategic directions, creating detailed workplans to achieve departmental objectives, and identifying opportunities for process enhancements to promote efficiency within the People and Culture team. This position provides comprehensive support to the department through all functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management and employee benefits and engagement and serves as an in-house resource for the People and Culture Director and Manager.
The People and Culture Business Partner plays a vital role in creating an inclusive and engaging workplace that enhances employee experience . This position collaborates closely with team members and leadership to develop and implement human resources strategies that align with Empower Simcoe's strategic objectives and commitment to customer service excellence .
Compensation package :
- Hours of work are Monday to Friday , 7.5 hours / day for a total of 37.5 hours per week;
- Opportunity to work remotely up to 60% of scheduled hours ;
- Minimum starting rate of pay is $33.33 per hour;
- 11 paid statutory holidays;

Following the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period :

Post-secondary diploma in an acceptable discipline related to human resources management and / or business administration and experience as deemed acceptable by Empower Simcoe ;Three ( 3 ) year's full-time recent administrative experience in People and Culture / Human Resources in a unionized and non-unionized environment, preferably in the social services field;Demonstrated high motivation, excellent communication and customer service skills , with the ability to work independently, while maintaining confidentiality of privileged information;Highly organized and detail oriented, with proven planning and problem-solving skills;Advanced computer skills, including above average skills in Excel , Word and Power Point ;Knowledge of the Employment Standards Act as it pertains to Payroll and People and Culture, and the ability to interpret Collective Agreements and Standards of Practice;Special f actors :
Be prepared to work flexible hours, as required ;Ability to deal with conflict using tact, patience, and courtesy;A valid G class driver's licen s e and own reliable transportation is required ;Duties and responsibilities (including, but not limited to) :
Promoting a vibrant and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with Empower Simcoes strategic objectives and core valuesDeveloping and enhancing processes and systems within the People and Culture functions to ensure ongoing efficiency, effectiveness, and responsiveness to employee and organizational needsLeveraging human resource metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of People and Culture initiatives, offering insights that inform strategy and help to guide improvement and transformationWorking with the People and Culture Director to support multiple projects and initiatives, working closely with leadership, team members and key stakeholders, to ensure clear communication, effective change management, and proactive identification and mitigation of risks and issuesWorking cohesively with People and Culture Director and internal / external contacts to execute project plan tasksTracking of strategic objective workplans to ensure timelines are kept on track and providing regular status reportsActing as a liaison within the People and Culture team to ensure stakeholder involvement and consistent communication of project status and deliverablesMonitoring and evaluating of People and Culture strategies and initiatives, focusing on assessing their effectiveness through key performance indicators (KPI) . Presenting findings and insights to leadership teams, and collaborating to adjust strategies based on insights gained from KPI analysisWorking closely with People and Culture Talent Acquisition and Employee Experience to continuously evaluate and source talent management strategies, best practices and innovative approaches, providing insights and recommendations ensuring hiring practices are equitable and inclusiveFacilitating trainings and agency orientation, continuously assessing their effectiveness and making improvements as neededAnalysing data trends and gaps, and offering ad hoc reports to support department initiatives, objectives , and strategiesAnalysing existing business processes, identify gaps in current systems, opportunities to leverage automation and lead resolution strategiesWorking in collaboration with the People and Culture Director to facilitate employee development initiatives, including mentoring and training programs, and succession planningGuiding and mentoring colleagues in delivering high-quality customer service, setting a standard for responsiveness and supportProviding back up to People and Culture department as neededBuilding and maintaining relationships with networks and partnerships to implement best practicesParticipating in standing and ad-hoc committees, task groups, etc. providing People and Culture perspective to issues within these groups, as assigned by the People and Culture DirectorSUBMIT APPLICATION BY :
